Book CarnivalBook Carnival window, an independent Orange County bookstore dedicated to mysteries and thrillers, will host the following author readings/signings through the end of September:

  • Tuesday, September 5, 7:00 p.m.: Craig Johnson, The Western Star (launch party). At Casa de Lago, 1615 Lincoln Av, Orange; $5-$29.
  • Sunday, September 10, 2:00 p.m.: Anne Cleland, Murder in Shadow
  • Monday, September 11, 7:00 p.m.: J.A. Jance, Proof of Life
  • Saturday, September 16, 12:00 p.m.: Michael Brandman, Missing Persons
  • Saturday, September 16, 2:00 p.m.: William Kent Kreuger, Sulfur Springs
  • Saturday, September 23, 3:00 p.m.: Kaira Rouda, Best Day Ever
  • Saturday, September 24, 2:00 p.m.: Roger Johns, Dark River Rising
  • Tuesday, September 26, 7:30 p.m.: Charlaine Harris, Sleep Like a Baby. At Casa de Lago, 1615 Lincoln Av, Orange; $5-$29.
  • Wednesday, September 27, 7:00 p.m.: Brad Abraham, Magicians Impossible
  • Saturday, September 30, 2:00 p.m.: Mark S. Bacon, Desert Kill Switch (launch party)

The events are mostly free (unless marked otherwise), although it’d be nice if you buy the featured book. Book Carnival is located at 348 S. Tustin Street in Orange, three-ish blocks south of Chapman Avenue. Look for more information on the store’s website or Facebook page.
