Book CarnivalBook Carnival window, an independent Orange County bookstore dedicated to mysteries and thrillers, will host the following author readings/signings through the end of November:

  • Thursday, November 2, 7:00 p.m.: D. P. Lyle (ed.), It’s All in the Story
  • Saturday, November 4, 2:00 p.m.: Joe Ide, Righteous
  • Saturday, November 12, 11:30 a.m.: Peter R. Kowey, M.D, Death on a Pole
  • Sunday, November 12, 3:00 p.m.: Ellen Byron, A Cajun Christmas Killing; Daryl Wood Gerber, Deadly Eclair; Shannon Baker, Dark Signal
  • Monday, November 13, 7:00 p.m.: Alexander McCall Smith, The House of the Unexpected Sisters (at Casa de Lago, 1615 Lincoln, Orange) ($28 with book; $5 guest pass)
  • Saturday, November 18, 2:00 p.m.: James R. Preston, Crashpad / Buzzkill (novellas)
  • Sunday, November 19, 2:00 p.m.: Patricia Smiley, Outside the Wire; Sheila Lowe, Written Off
  • Saturday, November 25, 1:30 p.m.: Gerit Quealy, Botanical Shakespeare

The events are mostly free (unless marked otherwise), although it’d be nice if you buy the featured book. Book Carnival is located at 348 S. Tustin Street in Orange, three-ish blocks south of Chapman Avenue. Look for more information on the store’s website or Facebook page.
