Book CarnivalBook Carnival window, an independent Orange County bookstore dedicated to mysteries and thrillers, will host the following author readings/signings through the end of September:

  • Saturday, Sep 8, 1-3 p.m.: Peter Larsen (O.C. Register) in conversation with Craig Johnson (reserved seating; call 714-538-3210)
  • Saturday, Sep 8, 5-7 p.m.: Craig Johnson, Depth of Winter (reserved seating; call 714-538-3210)
  • Sunday, Sep 9, 3 p.m.: Peter Plauner, Sunrise Highway
  • Sunday, Sep 16, 3 p.m.: R. Vincent Tibbets, The Descent from Anvil; F. Howard Billings, When Gods War
  • Saturday, Sep 22, 2 p.m.: Warren Easley, Moving Targets
  • Saturday, Sep 22, 2–4 p.m.: Joanne Fluke, pre-launch party for Christmas Cake Murder (at Elks Lodge #2190, 20925 Osborne St., Canoga Park)
  • Sunday, Sep 23, 2 p.m.: Fidelis Morgan, The Countess Ashby De La Zouche Series
  • Tuesday, Sep 25, 7:30 p.m.: Andrew Gross, Button Man

The events are mostly free (unless marked otherwise), although it’d be nice if you buy the featured book. Book Carnival is located at 348 S. Tustin Street in Orange, three-ish blocks south of Chapman Avenue. Look for more information on the store’s website or Facebook page.
