Eleven people attended, six brought readings (tied for a record), but only two read: Burt, Casey, Glenda (read her short story “The Night Train”), Jo, JoAnne, Lance, Maddie, Richard, Rosie, Shari (read four revised chapters from the beginning of Lost In Dance) and Stace.

News & Notes

The members agreed that it’s useless to try to meet next Thursday (4 July) because of the holiday. The next PFL meeting will be on 11 July.

Burt reported on things he learned at the Sisters-in-Crime Crime Writers’ Conference in Pasadena on 22-23 June. He also brought a written outline of author Michael Levin’s presentation.

Casey is reading Daily Rituals: How Artists Work, by Mason Currey, a collection of short essays about how 161 artists, writers, philosophers, scientists and mathematicians subtly maneuver the many (self-inflicted) obstacles and (self-imposed) daily rituals to get done the work they love to do.
