7 APRIL MEETING NOTES
Eleven people attended: Burt, Casey, Glenda (read Part 1 of her short story “The Great Clooney Pucker-Up”), Jo, Lance, Lynn H. (read Part 1 of her short story “Brown Recluse”), Maddie (read a chapter from Earth Angel), Marianna, Mark H., Rosie (read two reworked chapters from On Thin Ice) and Steve J. A first for PFL and a new record: all eleven people brought something to read.

Steve J. will be featured at the San Marino Public Library’s 20 April “Meet the Author” program. The event happens 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Barth Community Room.

I believe you are correct, Lance, about setting a record when all 11 attendees at a PFL meeting brought something to read. For those who don’t know, I found this sentence in my original PFL guidelines: “The Pure Fiction League was formed by David Cunningham and Janet Van Vleet (Barnes & Noble Events Coordinator and fiction writer) in April 2002 under the auspices of the Orange County Branch of the California Writers Club.” So this month, PFL has turned 14 years old!
