25 AUGUST MEETING NOTES

Nine people attended: Casey (read three chapters from World War Girl Soldier), Glenda, Jo (read a rewrite of Moonspell’s penultimate chapter), Lance, Maddie, Marianna (read a chapter from Truth Games), Rosie, Shari and Steve J.

News and Notes

On 29 August, Steve J. will be one of eight competitors in “Long Beach Searches For the Greatest Storyteller” at Malarkey’s Grill, 168 N. Marina Drive in Long Beach. Each performer must tell a six-minute true story. The action starts at 7 p.m.; tickets are $12 at the door.

The 23 August LIT UP! was strongly attended by any measure, but especially so for a summer: ~36 people came to listen to authors Leonard Szymczak, Lisa Brackmann and Rachel Marks.
