Summer must be over — eleven people attended: Burt (read three chapters from Dead is Not Enough), Casey, Glenda, Jo, Lance (read two chapters from Stealing Ghosts), Lisa W., Maddie, Marianna, Rosie (read two fragments and two new chapters from On Thin Ice), Shari and Steve J.

News and Notes

The 20 September LIT UP! was another success, with a full house hearing Dana Hammer, Sybil Johnson and Janet Symcic read from and talk about their latest works. The next LIT UP! will happen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 18 October at Kean Coffee in Tustin. Check the LIT UP! Facebook page for more details.

Casey called attention to a Book Riot tweet he retweeted to the PFL Twitter feed. The post regards the uses of a recap at the beginning of series books to help catch up new readers, or readers who have forgotten what happened last time. The idea is similar to the recaps we include in our readings.
