16 MARCH MEETING NOTES

Nine people attended: Burt, Casey, Glenda (read a revised short story, “Just For Fun”), Jo (read a short story, “Home Remedy”), JoAnne, Lance, Lisa W., Rosie and Steve J. (read the first four chapters of Bé, the sequel to Lamia).

The next LIT UP! will take place on Tuesday, 21 March, at Kean Coffee in Tustin. You can download posters here (1-up and 2-up). This month’s lineup:

• Historical fiction author Dennis Phinney.
• Mystery writer Dan Howard.

More information about the SCWA California-themed anthology. The 1500-3000 word length is a guideline rather than a hard limit. Also, the judges will be looking for excellent storytelling first, then excellent writing; take seriously the tag line, “It’s All About the Story.” Entries are still due by 15 April.
