23 AUGUST MEETING NOTES

Nine people attended: Burt, Casey (read 1.5-ish chapters from Super Duper Love Story), Donna, Glenda, Lance (read two chapters from Hot Pots), Leighanne (welcome back!), Maddie, Rosie, and Shari (read a revised first chapter from Raised to Win).

News and Notes

Lance will be the moderator for the OCPL Foothill Ranch Library’s writers’ retreat on 6 October at 10 a.m. Also, Burt is scheduled to speak to the library’s book club in May of next year.

The final Kean Coffee LIT UP! happened on 21 August. The short story-oriented program featured PFL’s Steve Jackson, Anne Moose, and long-time PFL member and LIT UP! impressario Maddie Margarita. Many thanks to Kean Coffee for their four years of support for LIT UP!

The September LIT UP! will introduce a new location: Bardot Bars & Coffee, 662 El Camino Real in Tustin. It’s one stoplight south of Kean near 6th Street and El Camino in Old Town Tustin.
