25 OCTOBER MEETING NOTES

Ten people attended: Burt (read six chapters from Blood on the Sun), Casey, Jo, Joanne, Lance, Leighanne, Maddie, PJ (read a short story, “Deva”), Rosie (read two chapters from The Lion and the Eagle), and Shari.

News and Notes

The 23 October LIT UP! was a rousing success, with thirty people hearing readings from Mary Castillo, Christina Hoag, and PJ Colando. Be sure to check the LIT UP Facebook page for the next event date and for more details on past authors and programs.

NaNoWriMo is at our throats once again. The festivities begin midnight on Wednesday, 31 October, with a Halloween “Midnight Oil” session at the Sand Canyon Denny’s in Irvine. Both Rosie and Leighanne are municipal liaisons this year. For more details, go here for North OC and here for South OC.
