1 Oct meeting notes; 8 Oct reading list
1 OCTOBER MEETING NOTES
Ten people attended: Burt (read four chapters from the former Murder on the 101, now Have a Good Day), Casey, Donna, Glenda, Jo, Lance (read 2.5 chapters from the Fake reboot), Marianna, Mark H., Rosie and Shari. Rosie ably led us through our first lively discussion of How Not to Write a Novel.
During this discussion, we debated the merits of adding another session at the end of the group reading, in which members would share examples of published works that demonstrate (or refute) the principles of our study book. Think about this and be prepared for another debate between now and 29 October.
News and Notes
Our next discussion of How Not to Write a Novel will happen during our 29 October meeting, with Burt and Maddie leading. Please make sure you finish Part II of the book by then. For your reference, the remaining readings line up like so:
- 29 Oct: Part II – Maddie & Burt moderating
- 3 Dec: Part III – Glenda moderating
- 7 Jan: Part IV – open (needs a volunteer)
- 4 Feb: Parts V & VI – open (needs a volunteer)
The next LIT UP! will take place on 20 October at Kean Coffee. Get the event flyers here: 1-up and 2-up.
