21 FEBRUARY MEETING NOTES

Ten people attended: Casey (read a chapter from Super Duper Love Story), Joanne (read a very short story, “Allegory”), Lance (read a chapter from Hot Pots), Leighanne, Lily, Lisa W., Maddie (read a reworked chapter from Earth Angel), Marianna (welcome back!), Rosie (read a chapter from The Lion and the Eagle), and potential new member Sherry. The last time we managed five readings was in July 2009.

News and Notes

The special Valentine’s Day Murder edition of LIT UP! on 19 February was a success, with three accomplished crime/mystery writers (Matt Coyle, David Putnam, and Patricia Smiley) reading from their most recent works and playing a quiz about the love lives of their series characters.

The next LIT UP! is happening at 7:00 p.m. on 19 March at Bardot Bars & Coffee, 662 El Camino Real, Tustin. As always, be sure to check the LIT UP Facebook page for details on past authors and programs.
